42CrMo seamless steel pipe is an ultra-high-strength steel with high strength and toughness, and good hardenability.
The use of 42crmo seamless steel pipe:
The special steel grade for bridges is "42crmo", the special steel grade for automobile girders is "42CRmo", and the special steel grade for pressure vessels is "42Crmo". This type of steel depends on adjusting the carbon (C) content to improve the mechanical properties of the steel. Therefore, according to the level of carbon content, this type of steel can be divided into:
Low carbon steel - carbon content is generally less than 0.25%, such as 10, 20 steel, etc.;
Medium carbon steel - carbon content is generally between 0.25 and 0.60%, such as 35, 45 steel, etc.;
High carbon steel - carbon content is generally greater than 0.60%. This type of steel is generally not used to make steel pipes.
Material properties:
No obvious temper brittleness, small deformation during quenching, high fatigue limit and multiple impact resistance after quenching and tempering treatment, good low temperature impact toughness, high creep strength and lasting strength at high temperature. 42crmo seamless steel pipes usually use surface quenching after quenching and tempering as a heat treatment scheme.
Physical properties:
1) Critical point temperature (approximate value): Ac1=730°C, Ac3=800°C, Ms=310°C;
2) Linear expansion coefficient: temperature 20~100°C/20~200°C/20~300°C/20~400°C/20~500°C/20~600°C, linear expansion coefficient: 11.1×10K /12.1×10K/12.9×10K/13.5×10K/13.9×10K14.1×10K;
3) Elastic modulus: temperature 20°C/300°C/400°C/500°C/600°C; elastic modulus 210000MPa/185000MPa/175000MPa/165000MPa/15500oMPa.
