Rectangular tube is a kind of hollow long steel, also known as flat tube, flat square tube or square flat tube. When the bending resistance and torsional strength are the same, the weight is lighter, so it is widely used in the manufacture of mechanical parts and engineering structures.


The production process of the rectangular tube:

The rectangular tube is divided into two types: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. The hot-dip galvanizing tube has a thick galvanized layer, which has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life. Compared with the hot rectangular tube, it is much different, but the surface quality is good and the finish is high; and the dimensional accuracy of the cold-rolled product is high, and the function and arrangement of the product can meet some special application requirements.

Many defects of the rectangular tube are caused by the perforation, so the power transmission process in the tube blank is the key procedure for the production of the rectangular tube. The main difficulty of perforation of high alloys lies in the low perforation performance. In order to ensure the quality, the deformation parameters of perforation must be rationally selected. A small amount of compression will cause the perforation process to be unstable, so the critical compression amount of the plug should be generally set at about 7% of the front compression amount, otherwise it will not be able to bite, and even the movement will increase or the front will be stuck. Increased compression in the front of the plug also creates cavities and silences defects inside. Therefore, if you want to overcome the problem, the tube blank should be centered, and the empty depth of the centering should be compared with other steel grades.

Hot-rolled rectangular tubes, continuous casting billets, and blooming sheets are used as raw materials. After passing through a heating furnace, high-pressure water is used to remove phosphorus on the surface; then a rough rolling mill is used to cut off the head and tail of the rectangular tube; The pipe is fed to the finishing mill for precision rolling by computer control. After laminar cooling of the rectangular tube, it is rolled after the coiler, and then coiled. However, when re-curling, uneven thickness often occurs, and edges are prone to defects; then re-curling, trimming, and straightening the cutting head after processing the cutting head to ensure the thickness and accuracy of the rectangular tube.
